CLEARFIL™ SE BOND, Kuraray's clinically tested, high performance, self-etching adhesive, is suitable for many indications. Many indications

CLEARFIL™ SE BOND consists of two distinct liquids: a mild, low operator-dependent self-etching primer and a high-adhesion light-curing adhesive. It is indicated for the following uses:

• Bonding direct restorations using light-cured composites or compomers
• Bonding of cavities in pretreatment of indirect restorations
• Treatment of hypersensitive and/or exposed root surfaces
• Intraoral repair of chipped or fractured restorations made of porcelain, hybrid ceramic or composite resin, with a light-cured composite
• Surface treatment of prosthetic devices made of porcelain, hybrid ceramic or polymerized composite resin

A lasting membership

Powerful resistance to hydrolysis for long-lasting adhesion: CLEARFIL™ SE BOND can provide this resistance thanks to the following three characteristics:

1. MDP monomer forms a stable, hydrolysis-resistant chemical bond between the adhesive and the tooth structure.

2. Gentle self-etch ensures that hydroxyapatite is not completely removed from the collagen fibers, protecting them from hydrolytic degradation.

3. The adhesive's low hydraulic absorption helps to strengthen long-term bond strength and minimize the risk of secondary caries.

Minimal postoperative sensitivities

CLEARFIL™ SE BOND's gentle self-etching primer helps minimize sensitivity caused by dentin fluid movement. Applying the high viscosity adhesive over the primer creates a strong and stable layer. This layer perfectly seals the dentinal tubules and avoids occlusal stress caused by potential movements of the dentinal fluid. The result ? Minimal postoperative sensitivity.

Simplified application

CLEARFIL™ SE BOND eliminates the need for acid etching or rinsing. In addition, the surface humidity level requires less attention: the risk of wetting or excessive drying of the preparation is very low, especially compared to wet adhesives. This results in a low operator dependency and a simplified application requiring few steps:

Prime
• Apply PRIMER and wait 20 seconds
• Do not rinse
• Dry in gentle air

Jump
• Apply BOND and distribute evenly with gentle air
• Light cure for 10 seconds

Restore
• Apply and light-cure the composite

The kit contains : 1 bottle of 6 ml primer + 1 bond 5 ml + 2 x 50 application brushes + 2 brush holders + 1 mixing cup + 1 plate blocking the passage of light + 1 storage box.

Also available in 5 ml Bond and 6 ml Primer.
