Fully natural absorbable haemostatic contact gauze, composed of oxidised regenerated cellulose extracted from wood, offering the guarantee of a reference product whose qualities of flexibility and handling have been proven for over 30 years in all areas of surgery.
Macroscopically, once saturated with blood, the resorbable devices of the SURGICEL range form a brown or black gelatinous mass on contact with the blood which participates in the formation of the clot, thus serving as a hemostatic adjuvant in the control of local hemorrhages.
Resorption depends on several factors, such as the amount used, the degree of blood saturation and the tissue bed, without altering the normal healing process.
