Despite all the precautions that the practitioner can take, instrumental fracture is a risk in endodontics. With SOS file you can remove debris from the file.
Our SOS File Endodontie kit allows you to access the break for easier removal.
Developed by Terauchi, this technique is based on the lasso maneuver. Direct access is provided using flexible neck drills. A trench is made with the trephine or IUS around the instrumental break, it must be at least 0.7 mm deep. The loop is adjusted then introduced into the canal and brought into contact with the instrumental break. While maintaining the loop closed, the instrument is removed by pulling sharply in the coronal direction (Terauchi et al., 2006; Terauchi et al., 2007)
